Motorcycle-Inspired Automobiles
The Toyota i-Road Offers the Maneuverability Without the Exposure

By: Amelia Roblin (Superstar) Mar 6, 13

In the Toyota i-Road, you get to experience the benefits of driving a motorcycle as well as the advantages of operating a full-enclosed vehicle. There are positives and negatives to both conveyances and this concept strives to incorporate only the perks.

The three-wheeled automobile has one in the rear and two at the front, installed so that they can draw out and retract independently by means of an active lean system, allowing you to feel yourself rounding every corner like you would on a motorbike. With a width of just 85 centimeters, the i-Road squeezes through traffic like a motorcycle as well.

The compact concept car was designed with a protected cabin, complete with a pair of doors for easy entry and exit. The Toyota i-Road is a comfortable, sheltered and agile electric vehicle that can travel 50 kilometers on a single charge.
