Dangerous Urban Bike Documentaries
'To Live and Ride in LA' Provides Window Into the Underground

Los Angeles has a long-running reputation as being one of the most car-friendly places in the world, but a group of local fixed-gear riders are trying to change that with a documentary entitled ‘To Live and Ride in LA.’

The documentary explores the sometimes dangerous, underground fixed-gear bicycle scene in Los Angeles. We see some of the city’s finest bike riders as they ride the streets, show off an assortment of tricks, race one another, and even party.

The film, shot over the course of a summer, is as much a love letter to fixed gear bicycles as it is a tribute to the self-suffcient underground culture thriving in the shadow of a major metropolitan city. I, personally, am not a bike rider, but the trailer made me wish I was one. This looks like a must-watch for serious bicycle riders and any true fan of documentaries.

Visit the official ‘To Live and Die in LA’ site to find out if and when the movie is coming to a neighborhood near you.
