Documented Apathy Projects
Alyson Provax Laments Life in Her 'Time Wasting Experiment'

By: Gil Haddi (Superstar) Apr 16, 13

All those moments in the day that seem incredibly painful or unnecessary are timed and documented by Alyson Provax in her latest project, ‘Time Wasting Experiment.’

Recording some of the worst feelings and how much of her day they consumed, Provax creates a sort of therapeutic way of dealing with things like “18 minutes of dreading the inevitable” and “32 minutes of restlessness and regret.” Everyone can relate to some, if not all, of these notes, with those little moments of fear and regret that seem to stretch on forever but don’t add anything beneficial to our lives.

By giving each one its own page and time in her ‘Time Wasting Experiment,’ Alyson Provax minimizes these painful everyday life experiences.
