When I first watched ‘The Sandpit’ film I thought it was just another miniature movie, which is impressive in itself, but then a colleague informed me this was no miniature set all, it was real life! ‘The Sandpit’ film incorporates tilt-shift photography, where the director uses a special lens and and manipulates the focus as to create a pseudo miniature scene.
The Sandpit film showcases a day in New York City shooting from all different locations uses the tilt-shift trick, which has now officially become my new favorite camera effect.
