Storms are usually viewed as something to be afraid of in modern culture, but in her most recent series ‘The Big Cloud: The Lovely Monster,’ photographer Camille Seaman has found a way to turn these monstrous storm clouds into works of art.

Camille Seaman, born in 1969, has been seen in numerous publications such as National Geographic Magazine, TIME, Newsweek and The New York Times along with many others.

Her most recent work, ‘The Big Cloud: The Lovely Monster’ features the brilliant photographs of developing storm clouds and supercells over their period of development. It is breathtaking to see these unique cloud formations and the colors that they produce. The images were taken over the period of a few hours just outside of Sidney, Nebraska.

Camille Seaman’s ‘The Big Cloud: The Lovely Monster’ photographs seem to tame the monstrous giants.
