The Terry Richardson Equinox 2012 ad campaign has people up in arms, though not for the most obvious reason. It may be very sensual like its previous campaign, which is not surprising coming from this provocative photographer, but the core of the controversy lies in the body image it is promoting. Instead of healthy, fit women, this ad campaign uses skinny runway models.
One member notes sarcastically, “Another couple million spent on the degradation of women. Good work fitness guys.” Although the models in the Terry Richardson Equinox 2012 ad campaign do have some definition and could very well inspire the motivation to head to the gym, in the end people have a problem with how relatable it is.
