Sushi Cake is a Savory Meal That Looks Incredibly Sweet

The Sushi Cake is not a person’s typical dessert. In fact, despite the use of the word ‘cake’ in its name and its circular shape, there is nothing sweet about it. Instead, it is inspired by a very savory (and common) Japanese dish: Sushi.
Forgoing the usual route of smaller bite-size pieces, the Sushi Cake is a large layered creation that piles on the traditional ingredients of salmon, cucumber, avocado, rice and seaweed. The kicker? It is probably much easier to make than actual sushi rolls. The Sushi Cake takes about 30 minutes to assemble and about an hour and a half to set.
Fun and quirky, the Sushi Cake is one way to make a party memorable.
