Suspended Clutter Photography
Cerise Doucede Makes Being Surrounded by Clutter Look Beautiful

By: Ian Andrew Panganiban (Star) Apr 1, 13
{SummaryTitle}

It’s a common occurrence for people to find themselves being surrounded by clutter in different areas of their lives. The photographs by Cerise Doucede entitled ‘Égarements and Quotidien’ show her subjects being enclosed by floating objects in their natural environment.

The erratic stills were achieved by attaching strings to each object to give the illusion of absent gravity. The shots typically took about three days to shoot, according to Doucede. The strings in the photographs were intentionally displayed in her work, because she didn’t want to convey a full sense of fiction in her work, but a mixture of reality and fantasy.

With so many photographers relying on technology to convey their works, it’s refreshing to see works by artist such as Doucede.
