String Suffocation Animations
The Super Rope Solution Shows that Convenience is Overrated

{SummaryTitle}

It’s easy to sit on the sofa watching TV all day, and it could be cool if something like the Super Rope Solution actually existed, bringing us everything we need so we never have to get up.

But is that really what we want? This short animation by film student Auke de Vries demonstrates the dangers of relying on pulling strings to perpetuate our own laziness. A typical couch potato watches infomercials about rope installations that make life as convenient as possible, letting him live in his chair without needing to lift a finger. While he thinks he’s in control of the ropes, that delusion becomes short-lived when he realizes he’s not the one pulling the strings.

The Super Rope Solution video is a warning against becoming dependent on convenience.
