An innovative condo complex in Copenhagen, Denmark has found a way to combine unique units, stacked like a pyramid, with a colorful car park stashed underneath. The complex is called VM Bjerget in Danish, which translates to Mountain Dwellings.
Each of the units sits above and behind the one below it, so that every condo comes with its own balcony/garden looking out onto the ones below it. VM Bjerget also backs onto a canal and is next to a subway station.
The Danish architectural firm behind Mountain Dwellings is Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG). I am lucky enough to have seen VM Bjerget firsthand on a trip to Copenhagen—needless to say, it’s my new dream home.
