Most consumers are only accustomed to thinking about how sneakers look on people’s feet, and that’s precisely why Studio-at-Large’s tech infused art exhibit for Nike’s 2013 Free collection is turning so many heads.

Studio-at-Large is a Shanghai-based design firm, and their latest art installation sees these visionaries portraying the beauty of motion in a three part, futuristic looking shoe art exhibit. Suspended on black lines, the design firm arranged colorful shoes from Nike’s 2013 Free Collection around an illuminated track.

By doing this, patrons get the illusion of seeing a freeze frame from a fast paced race. Using only these vibrantly colored shoes and no mannequins, this part of the installation entitled ‘The Track’ is only one of three parts of Studio-at-Large’s exbitit. Other Studio-at-Large installations include high tech, interactive components like motion-sensitive LED walls.
