{SummaryTitle}

The online martial arts supplies and paraphernalia store Karate Mart recently put together a collection of illustrations that combine various states’ license plates with characters from the much celebrated ‘Street Fighter’ franchise.

Street Fighter began in Japan as a fighting arcade game back in 1987. The premise was simple enough: a bunch of characters with remarkable ass-kicking abilities resolve any conflicts or differences they may have with one another through abrupt bouts of extreme violence.

The simplicity of the Franchise has been key to its success. It has gone through multiple evolutions and iterations since 1987 and has maintained a core audience the whole way through because it consistently gives that audience what they want—fighting and lots of it. Fitting then, that an American-based martial arts supplies shop should represent states’ license plates with Street Fighter characters.
