Graffiti artist Combo has put together a unique gallery of work aptly called Street Art for Pigeons. That is because it is literally street art for pigeons. The miniature framed pieces have been mounted outdoors on concrete walls at the eye level of pigeons. Yes, that means for humans to enjoy them, they will have to flop down on their bellies and mingle with the birds.
But it doesn’t end there. The Street Art for Pigeons series is comprised of iconic artworks including Shepard Fairey’s Hope poster, Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and Grant Wood’s American Gothic. The kicker is that each of them have been tweaked to appeal to its special audience. They have all been pigeonified.
