The newest Step Up movie no longer focuses on an up-and-coming group of young dancers, but rather, on a passionate following of culture junkies who want to use flash mobs as a protesting force against a city issue. The fantastic display of athleticism, raw talent and sizzling good looks (Hello, Channing Tatum) is the most dramatic representation of the friendly flash mob to date.
It seems that today, anything can be commercialized—even the beloved impromptu cultural experience of flash mobs.
