Melody-Making Walls
The Ste Justine Musical Wall Brings Some Color to the Hospital

{SummaryTitle}

Hospitals are notoriously depressing, what with their white walls, squeaky sanitized countertops and plain nurse attire—a little bit of color to brighten the atmosphere is sure to be welcomed, which is exactly what the Ste Justine Musical Wall hopes to achieve.

The Ste Justine is a hospital in Montreal that has recently installed this magical interactive wall to entertain both children and adults alike. As a projection, its technology allows anyone to wave their hands near the wall to draw lines across the musical bar, which creates a melody as you draw. Different shapes can be made, creating different sounds that have the option of being repeatedly played back.

The wall is created by the Moment Factory, which is part of a bigger project, ‘La mason de vie’ by Denise Robert, to make hospitals more pleasant. Definitely a worthwhile initiative!
