By: Jaime Neely (Rockstar) Jan 18, 13

Sir Martin Sorrell delivers an honest starting a business keynote to students at Oxford University. Discussing the modern economic climate, he states that today’s conditions aren’t particularly favorable. There are, however, a variety of factors that need to be taken into consideration.

Different parts of the world, Sorrell states, are expanding and developing at very different paces. There are slower growing markets and faster growing markets. Sorrell believes, however, that Generation Y is best equipped to deal and thrive during this period of uncertainty. Generation Y is much more mobile in terms of language and in terns of willingness to pick up new things. They are much more fluid and flexible than people 50 years ago and this can play in their favor.

His starting a business keynote explores the new landscape of today’s economy and the favorable characteristics of generation Y.
