Standard Design's Co-Op Canyon is a Cornucopia of Community

Inspired by the cliff dwellings of the Anasazi Indians, Standard (LA-based design firm) has designed the Co-Op Canyon for the Re:Vision Dallas competition.

The Co-Op Canyon emphasizes (based on Anasazi) our direct relationship to, and the importance of, nature. The structure houses over 1000 residence and collects enough rainwater, solar energy, and agriculture to sustain them all.

The competition is to design sustainable structures within a certain area of Dallas in order to make an eco-statement to the rest of the country and the world. The Co-Op Canyon is a community centered around a better future with each other and with nature.
