Developed by a group of California-based Europeans, Spike Your Juice consists of little “substance” packets which can be dropped into your favorite juice brand, thereby turning it into alcohol. It takes 48 hours for the sugar content to fall and the alcohol content to rise—and voilà! Your own booze in a juice bottle.

Spike Your Juice was inspired by a seasonal beverage called “Federweißer.” Although popular in Germany, Austria, and Italy, the transportation of Federweißer is challenging due to the ongoing fermentation process. Thus, Spike Your Juice was born.

It’s suggested that white or red grape, pomegranate, or cranberry juice be used. However, experimentation is supposed to be a fun part of the process. Yum!
