The Social Impact App Uses GPS to Find Responsible Retail

The Social Impact app is a neat tool for iPhone and iPad operating on at least iOS 5.0 or later. The GPS-enabled application makes responsible decisions around products and services a lot easier by locating social enterprises near you.

The Social Impact app currently has four categories to organize the growing list of 600 businesses: restaurants, coffee shops, catering and a catch-all “everything” category that will function until they add the rest. In addition to a mapped out guide to the location and the business’ contact information, the app details the social enterprise’s hours of operation and their unique impact goals.

The burgeoning list of social businesses is largely organized in 12 major cities in the UK, USA and Canada, while the app is also free and without ads.
