X-Ray Travel Bags
Skooba TSA-Friendly Laptop Bag

By: Trend Huntress (Talented) May 24, 08

Back in March, the Transportation Security Administration asked luggage manufacturers to come up with a checkpoint-friendly laptop bag. Currently, all laptops, DVD players and similar electronic devices must be removed from carry-on luggage before it gets x-rayed. Creative bag maker Skooba has come up with such a prototype and is working with TSA to streamline the bag for practicality. They expect to have the designs ready for sale this fall.

Skooba was recently recognized for their Skreener bag (pictured). Apparently their tongue-in-cheek approach to fashion design wasn’t a turn-off for TSA.
