I had to look at this TV3 America’s Next Top Model ad several times. Was this pro-America’s Next Top Model? Because it certainly looks pro-poor body image.
The series of three ads features different small dogs who appear to have lost their owners; one lost hers through a street grate, another through a beachside dock, and the third through a waiter drain.
TV3 is implying America’s Next Top Model contestants are (or should be?) rail thin, so much so that they slip through tiny narrow spaces in the ground.
The TV3 America’s Next Top Model ads were created by advertising agency Colenso BBDO, Auckland, New Zealand.
The ads look official enough, but how could they openly be so pro-anorexia? These are sure to evoke a lot of controversy.
