There’s something genius about moving away from photography for an ad campaign and instead showcasing the clothing as a work of art on a canvas. That’s exactly what artist Sergey Nielsen did for Close Up and Private’s Summer 2010 ‘Paintings’ Editorial.

These illustrations are superb! The brushstrokes, the tones, composition and use of space are what takes this collection to a whole new level. Personally, I love Sergy Nielsen’s style of painting—nothing is quite in focus, which adds to the allure of the campaign.
