Self-Shading Windows
The Dynamic Glass Self-Tinting Windows Help Conserve Energy

By: Michael Hemsworth (Superstar) Nov 14, 12
{SummaryTitle}

The technology behind optical lenses that adjust according to the brightness of your environment is being adapted into self-tinting windows called Dynamic Glass. Based out of San Francisco, View is hoping to make Dynamic Glass a mainstay in hotels and private homes with its cutting-edge technology and uniform designs.

Dynamic Glass looks the same as any other window when installed, but features the ability to control the tint during peak sunlight hours. This can be done via smartphone or by using the automatic feature that is built-in to change according to exterior weather conditions, which has gave way to the nickname ‘intelligent glass system.’ Dynamic Glass keeps the environment in mind as it can help to reduce energy costs by allowing for more control over interior temperature.
