Can you believe that scientists can now see what people imagine? It’s true. Just recently researchers at Cornell University have figured out how to deduce a picture of what subjects were only imagining in their minds.
Neuroscientist Nathan Spreng says, “We are trying to understand the physical mechanisms that allow us to have an inner world, and a part of that is how we represent other people in our mind.” This is quite the breakthrough, since Nathan and his team are the first in the world to accomplish this task in such a graphic and specific way.
Now as incredible as this may be, it is also questionable in so many ways. Will this new technology be used in ways that will help mankind, or could it be used in ways that are potentially invasive to our privacy? While there is no definite answer, there is no doubt that this inventive new technology will revolutionize how we interpret and read people’s thoughts in the future.
