DIY Mountainous Rock Walls
The Fitz Roy Climbing Wall Replicates the Famous Peak

By: Romina S. Cortellucci (Star) Jul 22, 12
{SummaryTitle}

The Fitz Roy Climbing Wall replicates the famous Patagonia peak within your own home.

The wall was created by Zurich-based furniture architect company Schindlersalmer√≥n, claiming on its website that the team, “regards their furniture as small architectural projects.”

The company has created a DIY item that allows for children to climb the dramatic South American landscape.

Taking less than a day to build, the designers used a painted 2500 x 1250 x 15 mm plywood-board. The peak’s image is then replicated through poking holes in the wood.

Once set up, the Fitz Roy Climbing Wall will provide endless amounts of fun for children allowing for them to experience the extreme environment in the comfort of one’s home.
