Hats off to the peeps being the first ever sandcastle hotel / sand hotel.  The concept isn’t only a great idea, the execution is as well.  For example, your room includes its own flags. The world’s first, the sandcastle hotel was built in Weymouth, Dorset.  It is - of course - a blatant PR stunt. The sandcastle was used to promote the Great British Beach Holiday.

It took 4 sculptors, 7 days, 1 JCB and 1000 tonnes of sand to make the hotel which covers 50 square metres and is more than 3.6m high. You can stay in the hotel for £10 per night. How much fun would that be?  Although, Weymouth is in the arse-end of nowhere:  Geographically it was chosen as its sand has been recognized as being perfect for sand sculpting.
