Folded Newspaper Mobiles
Roll-a-call is a Flexible Concept Phone With an Intuitive Layout

By: Michael Hines (Superstar) Nov 23, 11

Roll-a-Call is a conceptual cellphone designed to mimic the shape and flexibility of a folded newspaper. Roll-a-Call was designed by Sudhanwa Chavan and features a unique layout that splits the phone into three different and independent sections.

The phone is split into three parts: a call alert center on the left side, a browser in the middle and right side and a keyboard below. The three functions can be operated separately allowing for users to both surf the web and talk at the same time. Roll-a-Call would be made with a waterproof fabric and an OLED screen. The device houses two USB ports that also double as the phone’s charge. E-paper is being heavily developed, and it should be only a matter of time until you see the technology incorporated into mobile phones in some fashion. The Roll-a-Call could go from concept to reality sooner than you think.
