Cellular Steering Wheel Ads
Irish Authorities Launch a Road Safety Campaign Aimed at Texting

By: Jonathon Brown (Rockstar) Jan 13, 13

Texting and driving continues to be a cause for concern on the roads of Ireland, which is why the authorities have launched a road safety campaign focused on this dangerous habit.

This ad shows two rounded arms holding a cell phone. The image created is one that looks similar to a steering wheel and subtly alludes to texting while driving.

Authorities are taking aim at this problem because texting while driving can often leave drivers more focused on texting a message to a friend than watching the traffic around them. The ad includes a startling statistic: “Your mobile makes you four times more likely to crash.”

The creative director for this road safety campaign print ad is Dylan Cotter. The art director is Catherine Lennon.
