Terry Lundgren, the Chairman, President and CEO of Macy’s, delivers an insightful retail innovation presentation at last year’s Global Retailing Conference. The CEO opened the conference while highlighting the different steps Macy’s was taking to innovate within the retailing industry. He pointed out that when creating an innovation strategy or plan of action, it is crucial to consider the size and type of one’s business. This will ensure efficient and suitable strategies.
He expressed his strong belief in the need to take online initiatives of the brand and apply them in store. The next phase of the brand, he explained, will be one in which the online and in-store experience of the store will be one in the same.
