If the collaborative efforts of Haoshi Studio and PLA Studio Ltd. take hold, the biodegradable Renew X CAN could replace the 10,6000 aluminum cans that are discarded every 30 seconds in the United States.
The Renew X Can is made of a corn-based plastic-like material called PLA. It features a reusable construction design and when it has reached the end of its useful life, it can be crushed and put into a landfill where it will decompose. Until they are everywhere, limited edition Renew X Cans are available online for about $28.
