Rainbow Peppermint Patties Are a Way to Brighten Up Your Day

The Rainbow Peppermint Patties are a ray of sunshine after a storm that will bring a smile to your face every time you bite into them. The colorful inside is made by separating the peppermint-flavored dough into six sections. Each floured ball receives a food coloring or food gel bath, coating them in a skin of bright orange, blue, etc. Then, they are rolled into thin strips and pressed together.

Dipping the conjoined colored dough into the melted milk chocolate is the best part of the dish. The multicolored innards are concealed by a sweet shell of lip-smacking cocoa. To add a little more interest to the exterior of your Rainbow Peppermint Patties, sprinkle on a bit of icing sugar.
