The new video campaign from RadioShack for their ‘Beats Pill’ product, which are essentially powerful pill-shaped speakers, is a bit shocking at first. The video, which emulates the Robin Thicke ‘Blurred Lines’ music video released in April features scantily clad models dancing around in plastic wrap outfits while holding the Beats Pill speakers in suggestive ways.
The speakers themselves are a bit phallic-looking, leading to some funny gags by the models throughout the ad. They pose with the speakers in hot dog buns, use them as weights, and otherwise make their joke crystal clear to the viewer.
As part of the ad campaign, RadioShack is highlighting a promotion that offers a remix of Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines’ with any purchase of a Beats by Dr. Dre product, including the Beats Pill.
This raunchy RadioShack ad is sure to amass millions of views on YouTube—and quickly.
