The R1 Panda Robot is a Camera and a Projector

Conceptual robot designs are a dime a dozen these days; conceptual robot designs that look like the R1 Panda Robot aren’t. This robot is designed to capture images and function as a projector. Oh, and it’s also shaped like an egg.

The R1 Panda Robot was designed by Milad Taleghani, who had to have been a big Star Wars fan growing up. This bad boy looks strikingly similar to R2-D2, with the exception being that this robot is solar powered with panels on its head. Egg shaped solar-powered robots—the future is finally here.
