Prodigy of Mobb Deep Collaborates with Supra on Two New Sneakers

“I don’t want to look like everybody else,” says Prodigy of Mobb Deep in the promotional clip for his new Backwood and Bandit collaborations with Supra.

The Backwood is shown in a grey-scale camouflage color way that is inspired by Mobb Deep’s early affinity for army attire. The boot-like look also references the New York centric tradition of work boot fashion. The Bandit is more sneaker than boot, but also draws on the camouflage style. However, with a white trim on the sole, The Bandit has a cleaner, more refined style.

The collaboration with Prodigy of Mobb Deep and Supra is another step in the colliding worlds of hip hop and skate culture. With Supra being a long established skater brand, it is fitting they collaborated with Prodigy of Mobb Deep who is a veteran in hip hop.
