Checkmate Group's 500 ft Anaconda Creates Electricity from the Ocean

It’s 600-feet long… a massive, serpent slithering through the open ocean. But this snake has good intentions. Really! Developed by the Checkmate Group, the “anaconda” is the latest design that hopes to create electricity from the power of the ocean. Set to start swimming in 2014, each one could generate one megawatt of power, powering tens of thousands of households.
