Mask-Inspired Photography
Pierre Dal Corso for Masquerade Magazine Captures People's Various Sides

By: Meghan Young (Superstar) Jan 29, 12

If “all the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players,” as Shakespeare wrote, then the photo shoot by Pierre Dal Corso for Masquerade Magazine illustrates how true it is that “one man in his time plays many parts.” Inspired by the various masks a person puts on throughout the day, the editorial centers around actual masks.

Starring models Kim and Luisa, the editorial by Pierre Dal Corso for Masquerade Magazine ranges through various expressions, moods and outfits. Each one is influenced by the mask used in the particular frame. For instance, stylist Lou Tardy-Joye chose a minimalist, modern dress to complement the contemporary wire mask while hairstylist Mickael Jauneau went for a lioness mane and makeup artist Corinne Gues introduced an elegantly dark look.
