Inspired by the many mandatory x-rays he was forced to endure while trying to obtain a green card, Bibhu Mohapatra succeeded in creating not only a collection that stayed true to his affecting inspiration, but that is also wearably street-savvy…A hard thing to do when drawing your design prowess from radiation-inducing pictures of bones.

Where Mohapatras drew his motivation from for spring 2010, which includes pictures of bones, is fairly evident throughout the collection with delightfully-consistent details such as vertebra-esque lace-ups and placing multiple sheer fabrics atop one another to create the x-ray-ted pictures of bones effect.
