Photographer Nadege Meriau snaps shots of unusual landscapes that are unlike anything you’ve seen before because you’d never guess they’re simply close-ups of food.
Meriau performed extreme close-ups of some of his favorite foods to trick the eye into seeing more than is captured. One of Meriau’s past instructors Olivier Richon describes his take on photography saying, “If in fairy tales, houses are made of sweets, Nadege Meriau does the reverse, transforming the edible into a dwelling, making architectures of fibers, vegetables and porous matter.”
Richon’s words are truly on-point with the overall feeling that Meriau gets across through his exquisitely executed shots. The collection includes such familiar sights as the interior of a pumpkin and freshly baked bread with the collection growing larger each day.
