This infographic titled ‘Hyper Connected—The Generation that Doesn’t Power Down,’ is done by Pew Research Center. It examines the ‘Millennials’ generation, which consists of people born between 1977 and 1993. According to this study, 95% of this generation are online, and communicate wirelessly through smartphones or computers. Millennials are not that far off from Generation X in terms of tablet use, game consoles and cellphones.
Millennials tend to use their phones the most for text messaging and photo taking, and use it less for activities like instant messaging, email and video recording. Generation X are also most likely to use their phones for texts, pictures and Internet usage. This is vital information for marketers, as they can strategically plan campaigns around these findings.
