Infused with expression and identity, the five images of the Petra Peterffy Visual Self-Portrait series were created as responses to five personal questions posed to the artist.

Petra Peterffy’s work is a collage-style compilation of images and shapes that work together to tell a story. The first question asks about her mood as she wakes up in the morning, which is responded to by a face still half-immersed in a blur of color. Another question asks her what home means to her and the corresponding image shows a gleefully smiling child’s face surrounded by floating bubbles and marbles.

Each piece in the Petra Peterffy Visual Self-Portrait series tells a narrative of the artist’s life.
