Elko Minneapolis artist Dan Lacey, who creates unusual paintings of celebrities with pancakes on their heads, has been recognized as a controversial artist. His craft was originally inspired by a picture of Ooolong, a bunny from Hokkaido, Japan, who balanced a Japanese dorayaki on his head.
Since his beginnings, Lacey has become famous for his satirical portrayals of political figures like Sarah Palin, John McCain and Barrack Obama.
His collection of bizarre images includes a painting of Rush Limbaugh as Jabba the Hutt eating Sarah Palin in a Princess Leia outfit.
