Unfortunately, the heavy syrup often flows like hot lava when pouring, no matter how gently or gingerly the bottle is tilted, and smothers those originally delicious pancakes into mushy bread. Frustrated with this, designer Jon Wye created the ingenious slanted pancake plate that effortlessly drains the excess syrup from the plate without the diner scraping. Breakfast is the first and most important meal of the day, and there’s no reason anyone should start of with a lousy plate of their favorite food.
