The world’s most expensive CD has gone on sale at Nihonbashi’s Takashimaya department store. This CD costs 10,000,000 yen (about 100,836 USD) and comes with a platinum case that’s been embedded with 2 carats’ worth of diamonds. 

You can buy the world’s most expensive CD at Amazon for a much cheaper price (1,980 yen), but it won’t include the diamond-studded platinum case. Universal Music, the producer of the super-luxe CD, has contacted the Guinness Book of Records to get the disc included.
