Geometrically-Distorted Portraits
Alma Haser Creates Origami Pictures with Faces of Her Subjects

By: Kyle Towers (Star) Mar 13, 13
{SummaryTitle}

These origami pictures by Alma Haser effectively achieve abstract art with the use of cleverly folded imagery. Each picture contains an origami build of the subjects face which sits on top of their actual face.

The process in which takes place to create each image is actually quite fascinating. Alma makes multiple copies of each portrait and uses them to create the origami shape. She then places it on top of another copy for the final copy. If you look carefully, you can actually see the shadow that the folded build creates on the plain photo.

Alma’s origami pictures almost looks as though the subject is looking through the world with skewed, bug-like eyes.
