Based in Austin, Texas, OAK Lifestyle is a social business that sells backpacks and simultaneously donates a bag and school supplies to a child in need with each sale. There is also a special edition tee, called the Natural Disaster T-Shirt, that currently donates $7 to the American Red Cross’ Hurricane Sandy relief initiatives. The brand shares “Ordinary Acts of Kindness” (OAK) through its social media networks in order to foster community.
The bags themselves are relaxed and floppy, in colors such as Ash Gray, Green Leaf and Brown Bark. OAK Lifestyle is available in stores in California, Texas and also at various online retailers such as Given Goods Company and Soco Marketplace.
