Forest-Saving Sunglasses
Modo Eyewear Plants A Tree For Every Pair Sold

By: Sarah Moore (Star) Jul 28, 12
{SummaryTitle}

Modo Eyewear produces high-fashion and exquisitely crafted sunglasses that help to replenish the forest with a percentage of the profits from each pair sold.

Partnered with the One Percent for the Planet organization, the glasses company provides enough funding to plant one tree with the purchase of a pair of their shades. They have paired up with Summer Rayne Oakes to create a line of eco-conscious glasses made from 95 per cent recycled materials as well as offering a recycling program where old shades can be returned to the company who reuses the materials.

Modo also offers a take-back program that replaces normal lenses with prescription ones to help the visually impaired to see on a budget.
