Facebook alone has over 2,500 search variations, with Malaysia and Italy using Facebook as a keyword more than two times the global average. Facebook leads drastically over other social media sites as well. For every 100 searches for Facebook, Twitter trudges sluggishly behind with only 2.52. This is followed up dismally by Pinterest with only 1.02 for every Facebook 100.
In terms of advertising, mobile searching is where it’s at. Did you know that the clickthrough rate for ads that show up in mobile search is 11.5% higher than those that are non-mobile optimized? The average response time for desktop searches is one week. Compare that to the mobile response time and there is absolutely no contest.
