These mint chocolate cupcake cones take advantage of the fresh taste of mint chips to bring out the joy of Christmas.

The ice cream on top of the cake cones is actually whipped buttercream icing. Butter, powdered sugar, peppermint extract and mint chocolate chips are combined to create the fluffy appearance of a scoop of frozen cream. The cake batter is comprised of chocolate cake mix.

To make the Mint Chocolate Cupcake Cones even more delicious stir up a cream and chocolate ganache to drip down your cones like hot fudge. Then finish it off with a swirl of whip cream and a cherry on top, literally.
