Passersby Clipboard Captures
This Matt Kalinowski Project is Ambitious and Offbeat

By: Josh Triantafilou (Star) Jun 20, 12

Boston-based photographer Matt Kalinowski’s recent series ‘Meet Campaign’ depicts everyday people against an over-sized clipboard backdrop. Over a period of two and a half days, Kalinowski photographed more than 750 passersby.

Looking through the photographs, one gets a feel for the street scene in which it is set. Of course, the feel of a place and the people who inhabit it can change dramatically depending on the time of day; however, even in the few photographs featured here, Matt Kalinowski has captured a fairly broad array of people.

Currently, the photography is being used for a public art display commissioned by the Boston Redevelopment Authority. In the Down Crossing area of the city, Kalinoski’s photographs have been wrapped around the Old Filine’s Basement Building in order to showcase Bostonians to Bostonians.
