Matt Damon is calling upon senators to support the Water for the World Act of 2009. If successful, the legislation could help over 100 million people and would increase the availability of clean water by 2015.

“On my trip with the ONE Campaign to Zambia, I walked two miles with a 14-year-old girl to a well—the closest water source to her village,” said Matt Damon.

The Water for the World Act 2009 petition needs 100,000 signatures and has currently reached 61% of their goal.
